Where it all started:

Coming from a household where music and numbers intertwined, I was exposed to a unique mix of artistic and financial influences. Raised by a music teacher father and an accountant mother, my upbringing involved handling tickets and money for my father's performances. 

After high school, I took an unconventional route by joining a two week bus tour along the East Coast instead of immediately enrolling in college. My role on the tour involved duct taping stage equipment. During this experience, I observed the tour accountant with a fancy briefcase and realized that pursuing an accounting degree could lead me to a similar career path. 

Excited by this revelation, I shared my aspirations with my father, who humorously advised me to keep it a secret from my mother. Little did I know, that moment on tour would shape my future, allowing me to merge my love for music with my accounting skills to innovate solutions in the live event industry.

Major motivation by tragedy:

In the vicinity of the vibrant city of Pittsburgh resided a university student named David, whose fervor for music led him to aspire to a career in the live event industry, where he could bask in the dynamic ambiance of concerts and festivals. 

On his 21st birthday, David had the opportunity to work as a runner for a local promoter at a show headlined by the iconic WHO with Peter Townson, an unforgettable birthday gift. Interacting with Peter Townson backstage fueled David's determination to pursue his passion for live events. 

Subsequently, David was invited to join the crew in Cincinnati for another WHO event with Peter Townson, an experience that would alter the course of his life. However, a tragic stampede during the show led to the loss of 11 fans, prompting David to confront the risks associated with large-scale events.

Over the years, David witnessed more tragedies at music festivals, including the Roskilde incident with Pearl Jam and the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Motivated by these events, David dedicated himself to developing innovative solutions to enhance safety at events, leading to the creation of FestivalResponder and BackStageResponder mobile apps.

Driven by his past experiences and a desire for positive change, David's mobile apps have revolutionized event safety by providing instant access to emergency assistance for attendees, staff, and artists, reflecting his unwavering commitment to preventing future tragedies.
